To dye for ???

Ha ha, excuse the silly pun and also the lack of blogging over the past couple of weeks- have been doing very important and stressy exams! BUT I've finished now leaving plenty of time for all fashion-related things.

A couple of things have been obsessing me over the past week, the first being ... tie-dye, or 'ombre' as it is referred to by designers to make it sound a bit less terrifyingly sixties. I wore alot of tie-dye when I was younger but I know realise its a trend that needs to be worn with a bit of restraint!

I started my tie-dye rennaisance today with the purchase of Topshop knee-high tie-dye socks! I love 'em- I'm thinking they'll look good with some white or black keds, opaque black tights, denim shorts and a grey sweatshirt just to bring out to the tie-dye grooviness!

But this isn't enough me... slowly, I will expand my tie-dye range until I am blinded by physcadelia!
Any suggestions? Or is this a VERY bad idea?

Woe betide me...

Oh dear, that feeling of UTTER infatuation with a completely unattainable garment strikes again... THIS dress, as modelled by a lovely Dane on Facehunter, has captured my heart.

...Alas the chance of me owning it is incredibly slim. Who knows where she found a beauty like that?

Thank you, Call again!

My friend E has the best wardrobe. She lent me this vintage jacket and I am a little bit in love with it... it says, "Thank you, Call again" on the back!

The label says LVT Voyager - anyone know anything about that? And what do you think - freakishly odd or SUPERCOOL?

Summer dreaming...

I want Summer already! Looking at the Topshop SS08 Lookbook made me wish for a bit of sunshine...
My favourite look is "Maggie" : Embrace the laid-back summer vibe with preppy style separates. An Americana palette of red, white and blue dominate the look of high-waisted, wide leg jeans, checked shirts and girly gimgham dresses.
Slouchy shorts and ra-ra skirts work with cute logo tees and 50's style summer dresses. Fine blouses and cropped, boxy blazers with multi-coloured stripes give the look a fresh edge and are a perfect throw-on for this colourful, downtime look.
